Duration of ownership: 12 Months

Strengths: Panda found and removed a virus that plagued me and the best McAfee techs. After that I removed all McAfee products. Panda has done a great job detecting/stopping problems before they crept into my computer. Panda seems to also be overly protective and a pain at times.

Weaknesses: Twice I've had major problems accessing the internet on my desktop and wireless laptop and spent countless hours with techs only to discover the lastest Panda weekly upgrade screwed up everything and held me hostage. The solution was to uninstall and reinstall Panda Internet Security 2006. Frustrating.

Overall Evaluation: I'm cancelling Panda Internet Security 2006 and try Norton. Besides Panda techs take forever to respond to e-mail support and phone support isn't much support.

Duration of ownership: 2 Months

Strengths: Good protection, self-diagnosis, automatic updates.

Weaknesses: None that I have found so far.

Overall Evaluation: I've had Panda's antivirus software for a little over 2 months now. I absolutely love it. It's very user friendly; clean cut, no big macho words or anything like that. It rarely interrupts me with dumb reports, etc. but does tell me when it has found viruses and updated, which is very nice. It does a very good job, and works well with my "layered" protection. Panda doesn't hog CPU usage, unlike other antivirus programs, you don't even know it's there. Recommended for the ease of use, protection and the features.

Strengths: Secures your computer 100%

Weaknesses: Can be pricey for official box (not OEM).Can use a lot of resources depending on your configuration and hardware.

Overall Evaluation: We (wife & I) have used Panda for over 5 years now with no problems and no viruses or intrusions on either computer. This particular product "Platinum" is easy to install and set up and simple to use once your used to it. Spend some time learning it when you install it - setting up the level of heuristic scanning for example, and the scans you want it to do and when, it will definately reward you. (A lot of people have this notion that you just install this sort of program and it "just works" - then they get invaded or a virus. Like any other program tweak the settings to suit you and your machine, otherwise you're not getting the protection or your money's worth. I recommend "Platinum" over Pandas "Titanium" because while you may save money, "Platinum" is easier to use, and I have used both. (Installed "Titanium" in a friends machine.)Go with Panda, you won't be disappointed.
