    Duration of ownership: 2 Months

Strengths: lightweight, good looking case. easy to read screen. easy to use controls.

    Weaknesses: HP customer service

Overall Evaluation: Bought unit and had for 2 weeks when unit would not turn on. Sent into HP for repair. 16 days later unit arrived back and when pulled out of box unit was still not working. Resent unit back into HP and 30 days later I had still not received unit back. MANY phone calls to numerous case managers and 6 days later I finally got them to send me a new unit. Total time without unit=52 days. HP case managers are no help in getting units repaired. They will give you canned anwsers to your questions, i.e time for unit repair, they will tell you is 3-5 business days. They also have no way to talk to the repair facility other than e-mail which in this day and age unacceptable.

Strengths: Screen is beautiful, bright. Size is perfect to be mobile, and lightweight.

Weaknesses: Poor trackpad buttons; lots of wasted pre-loaded software.

Overall Evaluation: I've had my dv2000t for half a year now. The laptop come with with many pre-install software. The spec was great and I haven't had any problem with this machine yet except the touchpad. The touchpad was terrible, it was so difficult to use. Overall, this is a great laptop. I would recommend this laptop to anyone who needs something reliable and portable.

Overall Evaluation: I bought a Hp dv2000, in less a month it can't power on, so I call the customer service witch I believe the line transfer to India, after 2 days of discussion, talk to 3 customer guys each time on many calls (appox 30~45 mins), finally I can ship it back to their repair center. After repair center received my notebook 3 days, they call me ask my permission to re image the hard drive, I gave it and I find out I have some personal data the I don't have back up (the notebook can't power on). after 10 mins I call ask them if this is only way to fix it. I spent 4 days and appox 4~5 on phone ( most of time is waiting and transfer) to talk to customer service, tech guys, case manager, they said they will call you back after they find out the status and they never call back or 2 days late still no answer. they don't transfer you to their repair center.about 2 weeks finally I got notebook back, there is certificate inside the box telling you their 22 points check up and bla bla bla, the notebook has no sound driver, wrong vga driver (600 by 800 or 1024 by 768 not for 14.1 wide screen), bad wireless lan (red light), question marks on device manager, the best is a screw on the keyboard, and I find out 3 missing screws on the back of the notebook cover.I really like the new design of HP notebook, some friend have no problem at all, but if you got a lemon like me, you need to spend long time to get your right.
