Duration of ownership: 7 Months

Strengths: Crisp, sharp picture, great remote, automatically adjusts picture size to match signal (goodbye stretched screens!)

Weaknesses: Had to figure out how to change my cable box output to HD by myself (the manual should have mentioned this)

Overall Evaluation: I bought this based on in store evaluations and couldn't be happier. I found it much cheaper online that this review lists as the price (I paid $930 delivered to my door in Dec 2006). The picture is bright and crystal clear, and I love the fact that it automatically detects the signal and adjusts the screen size. When you are watchng HD programing, the picture fille the screen, but during 'normal' broadcast commercials, it displays in 3:4 ration, then pops back to full size when the HD starts again. I hated watching the "stretched" screen on my Dad's plasma which did not have the "auto" feature. Highly recommended!

Strengths: Lightweight, thin, good color.

Weaknesses: Picture is not good, even on HD channels, when watching sports or fast moving action. I have a feeling it may be our connections, but so far we can't figure out the issue.

Overall Evaluation: Based upon the other reviews, I hope we'll be happy with this TV. Somehow we just need to resolve the connection issue. I wish they had more info in the troubleshooting guide as it doesn't sound like we're the first ones to have issues with this.

Strengths: Excellent High Definition picture

Weaknesses: Average Standard Definition picture. Also, instructions could be more clearly written.

Overall Evaluation: Overall, this TV was highly rated by consumer Reports, and lives up to this rating. The speakers are on the bottom of the TV, allowing the TV to more easily fit in a more narrow entertainment center.

Strengths: Great picture, easy setup.

Weaknesses: I haven't found any yet.

Overall Evaluation: I was upgraded from the original Toshiba I ordered. Apparently 6Ave.com couldn't get them anymore. Man, was I lucky! My original TV didn't have a tuner built in. I thought it was no big deal because I needed to have a cable box anyway. They upgraded the unit at no additional charge. The picture is great! It took no time at all to set up. I can't believe I watched analog TV for so long. The size was perfect for our entertainment center. It's exceptional!

Strengths: Inputs, including 2 Component Inputs, Excellent Hi-Def, Small Size

Weaknesses: Remote Control doesn't include code for DirecTV receiver, Input switching brings up menu blocking screen

Overall Evaluation: After researching LCD TVs in this size on Consumer Reports and via other reviews on this web site and others, it appeared that the 32HL66 was the only TV that met all my requirements. It has 2 Composite Video Inputs (one is S-Video), 2 Component Video Inputs and an HDMI input. The high definition programming with a DirecTV receiver is stunning through the HDMI input. DVDs look terrific- as it is hard to tell the difference between 480p and the higher 720p or 1080i resolution. The sound is adequate, and the menus for programming the TV are OK. The manual didn't come with remote control settings for the DirecTV receivers, and I haven't been able to locate the proper settings. When switching Input modes, the TV displays all of the Input settings and the display stays on screen for about 5 seconds after making the selection, unless you hit the exit key on the remote (which other remotes don't have). Overall, I am very happy with this TV.

Strengths: Great value for a flat screen TV.

Weaknesses: The TV image is a little too wide which makes it seem flatened somewhat.

Overall Evaluation: This is by far the best TV I have ever had; it has a superb quality image and is easy to set-up and start using right away. For the value, this is an outstanding flat screen TV; similar models run up to $1000 more. TOSHIBA has an outstanding reputation, so I look forward to many years of enjoyment.
