Strengths: The picture!! 3 HDMI connectors. 1080p! Vivid color

Weaknesses: The only weakness was the price but now at the price of $1099 its a sweet deal. Best Buy sells it for $1699 and wont match price but Circuit City did!! Sweet LCD

Overall Evaluation: You can't beat it for the price! 1080p for $1099 is a sweet deal. I dont know where they get the con being the picture in this review. They must have hooked it up to some cheese ball antenna. Get it for $1099 you will be happy you did!! Blue Ray looks like you are there!!

Overall Evaluation: My review is of PC Worlds review process. Clearly, when an overwhelming number of people vote "NO" that this story is not helpful it should tell you something. How can you rate a TV No. 1, and then show as a "Con" the picture quality?? That makes no sense to anyone, and it should make no sense to you !

Strengths: Low price/very high quality picture

Weaknesses: Sound

Overall Evaluation: The Good------------------- This set has been running for hours each day for over a year and the picture quality is the same as when new: very high. This is *especially true* when combined with a satellite HD/HD-DVR box from Dish Network (free for new customers!). -------------------It's also a bargain with many retailers selling it for under $1000. I looked for 6 months and could not find anything remotely close to this price and quality. -------------------The programmable remote is easily configured to operate 2 additional A/V systems. It's also very sturdy; it still works perfectly after many long falls to the travertine flooring and the original/cheap batteries lasted for over a year. -------------------The Bad-------------------The only negative point is the sound. The default settings must have been decided by people who spent too much time next to the huge speakers at heavy metal concerts.-------------------Thankfully, a little fiddling with the equalizer easily el...

Strengths: 3 HDMI inputs, as well as a wealth of other inputs. PC games played very well. Swivel stand, overall clean and classy style.

Weaknesses: QAM tuner can be a bit sketchy sometimes (see comments).

Overall Evaluation: My setup has my PC hooked up to the Samsung via DVI-HDMI. Pictures, videos, and games look top notch. I was really impressed with the image quality of games at 1080p, plus no artifacts or smearing. Initially, the QAM tuner was able to pick up only a few "in-the-clear" (e.g. local and unencrypted)cable HD channels on the first pass. After a few more attempts I now pick all in-the-clear. On a few occasions, the channel number will change, but according to several online resources, I believe it has more to do with Comcast than the tuner (what else is new??). I am very happy with this TV, especially for the price.

Strengths: easy setup, great picture, great price

Weaknesses: sound is not as i would want, but it isn't that bad.

Overall Evaluation: This lcd is a great television, the picture is just amazing, and enjoy the many hdmi ports. The only thing that i am having problems so far with is hooking up the dvi (laptop), but maybe i am just playing around it just wrong. But everything on the tv is just plug and watch. The sound is average, it is not as bad as people say, but to tell the truth, if you are planning on going home theater style, the sound from the tv won't even matter. great tv, it is a must buy for the price and quality.

Strengths: 1. Picture was great without the HD cable hookup.2. Now have HD and the picture is awesome!3. Easy setup4. Great looking unit

Weaknesses: 1. The manual is intimidating (but you really don't need it)2. Onboard Sound is adequate (doesn't match quality of picture)3. Channel change slower than desired

Overall Evaluation: There are a lot of 40" TVs out there right now. I focused on this one after a top rating in Consumer Reports and on comments in PriceGrabber reviews. Thanks to PriceGrabber I was able to save an additional $300! The set is as good as everyone says it is. Ignore the thick manual and just use it as a reference. I just hooked everything up, turned the set on, followed the onscreen prompts, and the unit worked great. The picture was great without the HD hookup from our cable company. We just added that this week and the picture went to awesome. We watched the Green Bay playoff game in the snow yesterday in HD and couldn't believe the quality of the image. We've had great luck with Samsung products in the past. This is our first Samsung TV and we are impressed.
