Reviewed by: tr695412-20-07 Duration of ownership: 2 Months Strengths: The strengths of the U810 are it's size, the convertible screen from mini laptop to tablet, great battery life, easy to navigate while in laptop mode, and it's utilities. Weaknesses: The keyboard is difficult at first and it's not a computer you would want to add a lot of extras to. Overall Evaluation: I very much enjoy my Fujitsu LifeBook U810. It is convienent, easy to use and affordable. I have owned other ultra portable pc's and this is the best one I have used. It's CPU is only 800-MHz, but it is as fast, or faster, then the ones I have used that were 1 or 1.2-GHz. To add a lot of extras though to the U810 would slow it down. It runs much cooler and quiter. The screen is small, but by increasing the DPI I have had no problems in using it. The key board is awkward at first, but it didn't take me long to become comfortable in using it in laptop mode. As a handheld thumb board though, it is still awkward. I also like it's lay out with it's trackball and mouse keys, which make it easy to use in any of it's modes. I purchased this little computer with Microsoft's OneNote and I use it all of the time and would recommend it to anyone. Terry C. |
