WHAT'S HOT: A four-port USB 1.1 hub is built into this monitor, with two sockets on the rear of the case and two on the side of the bezel. The arrangement provides easy access for devices that need to be regularly plugged in and removed, plus concealed sockets for devices that are constantly connected.

WHAT'S NOT: The on-screen menu and controls are rather confusing to use; to move up and down the list of options, you have to use the left and right control buttons. The on-screen menu also disappears a bit too quickly for comfort, and this can't be changed.

WHAT ELSE: The quality of the images that the PR1400F rendered were rather disappointing, as text was slightly fuzzy (making smaller fonts difficult to read) and photos looked pale and unnatural. No printed manuals were supplied with our review unit, but an adequate on-screen manual is on CD-ROM. At just under 84 pounds, this is the heaviest monitor we've seen.
