Weaknesses: POOR QUALITY
Overall Evaluation: Camcorder had very little use failed within the first year of ownership, cost 171.00 for labor to repair withPanasonic. After repair camera was used for approximately 3 hours over the next year based on tape usage and had a repeat failure. Panasonicwill not provide any good will being its over their 30 day repair warranty. Panasonic no longer repairs in-house and sent the camera to Value Tech in CA. A company that will not answer your phone call or return a call. Three weeks after recieving the camera Value Tech called for authorization to diagnose with 199.00 repair minimum. The camera is not worth the repair bill just to fail again. Panasonic manufactures an excellent boat anchor. Most reputable companies would offer good will to keep a consumer happy. Not Panasonic.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: None
Weaknesses: Destroys tape and memories
Overall Evaluation: Brought this camcorder around 3 years back. Since than I have sent this camcorder back for repairs atleast 4 times and again this is lying at my home in a useless condition. It makes sound while recording, will cut into the tape and will not play back the previously recorded tapes. Everytime I send it to the panasonic authorised repair shop, they will send it back saying that it needed some cleaning and adjustment. After running for another week it will go back to it's original condition. Each and every repair costs time and money.I will say that it is one of the worst product from panasonic. In future I am never going to buy a panasonic product.

Overall Evaluation: I have had my cam for a few months and just love it. I have not had any problems what so ever with the use of it. It took some practice of course, yet beyond that I am on my way to having some really great vacation and family video's! :)

Overall Evaluation: i am highly pissed off! I just boought this camera, well just rcv'd via priority mail today. I read the instructions. plugged it up put the tape in and immediately heard this annoying humming winding type sound (no it wasnt the tape) the noise records on to the tape. The noise also occurs just when the tape is sitting in the carriage. I called the factory/manufacture and they said send it back because they DON'T THINK it is suppose to be doing this. It sucks. ikeway@mwr.is
