  Strengths: Very easy to use and the options are great.

  Weaknesses: Can't think of any.

  Overall: I love this machine. The only thing I say to the guy that couldn't get the CD to works is that he didn't follow the instructions. This machine has been great and I love the printouts. With all of the options that it has, I would recommend this to anyone.

  Strengths: Good Price! Very easy to use! everything is Great!

  Weaknesses: the color doesn't macth my PC.

  Overall: I am an art-major student. I use it to do my homework and it's just great. In such a good price, you just can not ask for more. The installation CD worked on my brand new DELL computer( Windows XP ). I don't know why someone said it didn't work on his. Prints will turn out a little bit darker than original images, but you can adjust brightness before you print them.

  Strengths: Space saving. Cheap. Acceptable quality for everyday use.

  Weaknesses: Installation CD did not work on brand new computer running Windows XP.

  Overall: When installation CD failed to get the printer working, I went to Lexmark web site to download a driver - this took almost two hours on my brand new computer. Still couldn't get printer to work, so went back to Lexmark and downloaded a "patch". Finally got it to print. However, everytime I disconnect it to transport my laptop, it won't work. I have to uninstall and re-install the software CD and the patch. I also tried to install the X75 on my desktop running Windows 98 - again, no luck. I WILL NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER LEXMARK PRODUCT!

  Strengths: Integration of both printer and scanner in a single compact unit.

  Weaknesses: Prints turn out ok, but not great. Must use expensive photo-grade paper to get high quality output.

  Overall: Both the printer and scanner are run-of-the-mill. That said, run-of-the-mill these days means pretty good quality. There are scanners and printers that do twice the resolution as this unit, however unless you plan on making a poster out of an image the size of your thumb, 600x1200 optical resolution does the job fine; and unless you plan on using expensive photo-grade paper, 2400dpi prints will be indistinguishable from those made at 4800dpi. Overall, a decent product at a good price. If you want better prints on normal paper, you might check out one of the cheaper dye-sub printers made by Alps, rather than worry about getting higher resolution from an inkjet.
