  Overall: I bought this drive upon recommendation of a PC magazine, and I am still happy with it! It burns CDs quickly and efficiently with almost never an error-stricken session. TDK has done a great job of making a quality product here.

  Overall: I have never had a bit of trouble with this CD-R/RW.Yes its only rated to Read & Write at 48X but when you turn any Cd faster than that you risk damagind the CD.TDK stands behind their products and updating the firmware was a snap

  Strengths: Super fast rip speeds. Very few errors (if you use quality CDs and not bargin basement junk).

  Weaknesses: None so far!

  Overall: No installation problems. No software compatibility problems. No driver or OS problems (with Windows XP Pro or Home). Rip speeds are fantastic. You get what you pay for!

  Strengths: Easy install, fast burn speeds, no coasters with buffer underrun protection, great price.

  Weaknesses: Hard to find 48X rated cd-r's at this time. So-so software included.

  Overall: Replaced my QPS 24x with this puppy. Burns a full 700MB cd in a shade over 2 minutes. Comes with Nero Express, not full version of Nero, which sucks, but overall this is THE burner to get. Running XP Professional on a super fast pc. NOTE: Roxio (all updates applied) takes nearly 2 minutes longer to burn the same amount of data. Rewrite speeds are lightening fast. Great for data backup. Has $20 rebate so I got this dude for $59.00.
