IRiver IFP-190T Review

- WHAT'S HOT: At $199 and packed with 256MB of internal memory, this IRiver is the first flash player we've seen to come in at a price that's less than $1 per megabyte of storage. The player's sleek, tapered design makes it suitable for a pocket or for wearing around your neck as a pendant. Its tiny navigation joystick takes a little getting used to; once you get the hang of it, however, moving between folders and tracks is a breeze. Depending on how you move it, the joystick guides you through tracks, playback menu options, and volume control. The device has a wide selection of custom playback options (for example, you can control how quickly the unit scans through songs). And music sounded excellent through the included Sennheiser earpiece headphones.

Duration of ownership:

Strengths: light, compact, cute, nicely priced

Weaknesses: it can only hold 27 songs and the FM radio is usually always staticy

Overall Evaluation: like i said, this mp3 player is very cute and easy to handle, light and decently priced, but it doesnt hold many songs. it only holds 27 songs (or is that just me?) and when i listen to the FM radio, it always or most of the time has static

Strengths: Alot of cool features. Sounds great.

Weaknesses: One year warranty means one year.

Overall Evaluation: Well I have had it for a little over a year and it just stopped working. Used it for running loved it while it worked. Only 1 year warranty so took it apart being somewhat electronics savvy but no luck. Now its in the trash. Being that I run 4-5 times a week might have put a lot of stress on it. For the most part it was really nice to have.
