Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Its job - virus protection (paramount) and security; customer support; "House Call"
Weaknesses: no name-brand recognition in the private sector
Overall Evaluation: Having graduated years ago from the meager efforts of a well-known red-boxed A-V SW package, I thought I had everything secure while running its well-known, yet slightly more sophisticated rival in the yellow box. I was warm and cozy until a friend turned me on to PC-cillin 2003's on-site virus scanning routine, "House Call." As always, until that moment, my SW was on the job. House Call found 14 unremovable viruses. Its site stays current with respect to general virus threats worldwide. And within this doable GUI are settings regarding how often you would like to check for new virus definitions and scan engines. Have gotten as many as 3 definition updates in one day, so someone is doing their job. The business sector is fond of them for a reason, too.
