Epson America Powerlite 730C Projector Review
by Richard Jantz
Graphics-oriented model is a bit expensive for what you get.

WHAT'S HOT: The $3199 Epson PowerLite 730c earned better scores for its display of graphics and motion than for its text images. For example, it accurately displayed a color scale and a photo screen featuring different skin tones. Nevertheless, other, less expensive models that we reviewed at the same time surpassed the 730c in image quality. Automatic keystone control and easily accessible lens and focus rings make the 730c a breeze to set up. A help button provides access to a few options, such as color adjustment, but you have to use the remote to access the entire on-screen menu. The slim, card-like remote has flat-touch buttons and can control your laptop's cursor; but it lacks a laser pointer and often requires two hands to operate.
UPSHOT: The bright, easily portable Epson PowerLite 730c makes a fine choice for handling presentations to small or large audiences, and for home use.
