WHAT'S HOT: The G75f is an all-around great monitor, especially for its ability to create fine, clean text, even at small font sizes. It took top honors displaying our Microsoft Word and Excel test screens, and it also scored near the top in the more challenging test of character resolution: displaying fonts of varying sizes--both black text on a white background and white text on black.
WHAT'S NOT: Our judges noticed some brightness inconsistencies in our test of a plain white screen.
WHAT ELSE: The ViewSonic's graphics did not match its text quality, but it still earned a score of Very Good. Colors looked well saturated but somewhat dark on our photograph tests.
Four buttons on the front bezel provide access to easily navigable on-screen control menus. The buttons' functions change depending on the context of each menu, however, and it can be a bit tricky to determine which button to press in each instance.
UPSHOT: With stellar text, solid graphics, and a moderate price, the G75f is a great monitor for almost anyone.
