Sharp 19 LCD MON 1280X1024 0.294mm 300nits 700/1 50000hr Bklit Srgb Review

Though it lacks some frills, this monitor stands out for its great image quality.

Sharp lives up to its name with the LL-T19D1. We saw clean, dark letters on screens of a Microsoft Word document, an Excel spreadsheet, and several other test images. Graphics looked equally good, showing rich colors and fine detail in our color-scale and photograph tests, for example. And this high image quality comes at a reasonable cost: Its price of $699 (at the time of our review) was a bit below the average price of other 19-inch monitors we reviewed at the same time.

While the LL-T19D1 provides some ability to adjust the height via a double-hinged neck, we found the mechanism to be stiff and clumsy. Side-to-side movement also isn't slick, as you must rotate the entire assembly of panel and pedestal on a lazy-Susan mechanism. One notable omission is the lack of support for sRGB mode for easily matching screen colors to those of an sRGB-compliant printer, scanner, or camera. On the bright side, we liked the dedicated button on the monitor bezel that let us toggle through different color-temperature presets to optimize the screen's display of particular images, such as those of photos.

Upshot: Its panel adjustments could use some improvement, but aside from that, the LL-T19D1 offers great performance at a fair price.
