    Duration of ownership: 18 Months

Strengths: This product works well with Windows XP. Print quality, copy, etc is good. In fact it lives up to its tag as an all in one -for XP.

Weaknesses: This printer is not compatible with Windows Vista as an all in one. The Vista drivers issued from Lexmark, allow only for very tedious printing. There is no scanner support,

Overall Evaluation: This printer is not recommended if anyone intends to upgrade to Windows Vista.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: 1 Stable for the first months. 2 Software doesnt cause any conflicts.

Weaknesses: 1 Workmanship flaw with the design of the printer2 Costumer service is non existant so returns are not well accepted. 3. Paper Jam king!

Overall Evaluation: I bought this printer exactly a year ago. Things started going wrong about January and just got steadily worse. Read everywhere and others are having the same problem. No wonder why you cant find them anywhere. There is an actual problem with the design of the print cartridge componets and assembly. There is a small band that is only held in "position" by a flimsy worthless band that tends to warp after usage. The other way I can print is if I take out the color cartridge. I get "Error 502". Also Lexmark tech support sucks. I never even got a reply after I wrote them about the problem. Ill never buy a Lexmark again and I advise everyone against it. They are in the world of Creative Labs :) Stay away and buy a laser Brother ( that is what my pops got the same time I got mine and his has worked flawless on a higher workload as well).
