User Reviews for iRiver iRiver iFP-195T MP3 Player (iRiver America-IFP195T)

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Super small and lightweight. I love the fact that there is no recharging batteries - just pop in a new one when the old one dies.

    Weaknesses: None so far.

Overall Evaluation: I think this is a great mp3 player - perfect for working out as it is very small and lightweight. Comes with an arm band for use while walking/jogging. Very easy to use - the interface is easy to manuever and the software was easy to operate. I think this is a great find for someone looking for a great workout mp3 player. Battery life and song storage is very good as well.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Sound quality, Size, Flash Memory

Weaknesses: Memory size maybe for some people but really perfect for me.

Overall Evaluation: I use this device to have the songs I most want to listen to right at hand. The player is really perfect for this. I code at 96 kbps in WMA format and I get about 110 tunes on the device. I have the blues, Jazz and rock tunes I want with me all the time and they all sound fantastic. I also use the output jack to a set of old Microsoft computer speakers and the sound is heavenly. I cannot say enough good things about this setup! I cannot see how you can go wrong with the iRiver iFP-195T 512MB MP3 Player!!!!

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: small size, fantastic sound (mp3 and radio), good storage. Essentially good quality.

Weaknesses: interface confusing, belt clip would be helpful (arm band uncomfortable).

Overall Evaluation: One of few 512 MB mp3 players; really find this size useful for running, portable stereo (all you need is some cheap computer speakers to plug right into it), and radio reception is by far the best I've ever had in a portable radio. I'd like to see somebody come up with a better way to store the ear-plug cords when not using, and even while running (it seems to get snagged on my ear or something - maybe if they were longer it'd help.)

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Not hard to use at all, have the abliity to copy from the radio, enough memory to carry a lot of songs,

Weaknesses: one buttone does alot of the function and can sometimes bump it, doesn't have rechargeable batteries

Overall Evaluation: I love the iriver so far. I received it for Christmas. Its small and compact yet had all the features I wanted. The recording from FM and voice recorder is a great added feature. I didn't have to use the instruction but some non tech people may have trouble using it. I would recommend it to anyone. Two thumbs up for the IRiver 195

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Small size, Amount of storage, Ease of use, battey life, option to use disposible batteries.

    Weaknesses: None yet.

Overall Evaluation: I think this is one of the best MP3 players on the market. It has the most storage for a MP3 player that doesn't use a hard drive or rechargeable batteries. It comes with everything you need, headphones, arm strap, neck strap, etc. It has great battery life and when the battery is dead, just toss it and pop in a new one. If you decide, you can use a rechargeable AA battery. Downloading and erasing music is easy. I've been using it for 3 months and it's worked flawlessly. I think the software that comes with the player is very easy to use. If you decide you don't like the included software, you can download software from the iRiver website to make it appear on your computer as an additional drive. That way you can add/delete music without using the included software. You can also use it to store data files as well. Downloading music in WMA format and at best recommend quality (160 Kbps), you can fit up to 103 or 104 songs. It sounds great. I'd buy it again.
