Hewlett Packard L1530 Review

- In a category where vendors often cut corners, HP still puts some nice extra features into its 15-inch LCD, and for a reasonable price of $360. For starters, it offers full adjustability, including tilt, height (via a double-hinged arm), swivel, and pivot from landscape to portrait orientation. (Software to re-orient the screen is included). A double hinge lets you fold the panel down flat, making the monitor easier to transport.

Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Plugged it in and it worked perfectly. Great picture.

Weaknesses: Heavy and difficult to pack up for travel.

Overall Evaluation: I have not done a thing except unbox and plug it in (Win 98 2nd edition notebook). Have not even loaded the drivers. All is working flawlessly. Like the sleep feature, love the power on and off. As said under weakness, wish the unit were lighter and easier to take along (in / out of the travel bag).
