  Strengths: FAST and quiet. Legacy 4 pin power connector.

  Weaknesses: 1 Year warranty

  Overall: First sata drive and i am impressed! Faster and quieter (almost silent) than pata (ide) drives. Was going to say that the 8mb was a weakness but for what it will be used for, doesn't matter that it isn't 16mb buffer. Mine didn't come with a power adapter (i did not have an extra one) but since it had the legacy 4 pin power connector it didn't matter. Prices are dropping so be on the lookout for bigger drives at very cheap prices! Seagate and Maxtor are together now so hopefully will bump the warranty to 5 years!

  Overall: its very easy to install more faster & less cables to work with & also more predictable as far as performance overall happy & would recommend others who in market for sata hard drive

  Weaknesses: 1 yr warranty (compared to the typical 5 yr from Seagate)

  Overall: I like the drive as it's easy to install. No jumper installation is required. The kit comes with everything I need including the cable and software. The size is sufficient for now for saving tens of home videos. The hard drive is relatively quiet and audible when I turned off my external hard drive (which is louder).

  Overall: Got it on sale. It's relatively cheap compared to SATA. It works flawlessly for me for about 3 months so far, i have nothing to complain. The capacity is Large enough to store all my books and musics in, plus a good access speed.Although it is not that quiet and warranty is only one year, i am still satisfied with it.

  Weaknesses: You get whatcha pay for! Somewhat loud, somewhat slow, but, hey, it's SATA!

  Overall: For those of us who want the latest technology, and we can't stand mixing and matching old with new, this drive is ideal. You get SATA features at a low price, but it's not really SATA. More than SATA-lite, PATA-plus.
