    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: FAST and quiet. Legacy 4 pin power connector.

    Weaknesses: 1 Year warranty

    Overall Evaluation: First sata drive and i am impressed! Faster and quieter (almost silent) than pata (ide) drives. Was going to say that the 8mb was a weakness but for what it will be used for, doesn't matter that it isn't 16mb buffer. Mine didn't come with a power adapter (i did not have an extra one) but since it had the legacy 4 pin power connector it didn't matter. Prices are dropping so be on the lookout for bigger drives at very cheap prices! Seagate and Maxtor are together now so hopefully will bump the warranty to 5 years!

    Strengths: its quiet & its faster than pata

    Weaknesses: little expensive than pata

    Overall Evaluation: its very easy to install more faster & less cables to work with & also more predictable as far as performance overall happy & would recommend others who in market for sata hard drive
