Dell UltraSharp 1703FP

In our suite of graphics tests, the 1703FP placed in the upper half of all monitors overall, and it earned the second highest score in its class (after the Eizo Nanao FlexScan L557) for accurately rendering skin tones and other colors in our group photo test screen. As with most LCDs, text looked great.
The 1703FP is a downsized sibling of Dell's top-ranked 19-inch UltraSharp 1901FP, and it features the same excellent design. It easily tilts, swivels, and rotates for changing the screen orientation from landscape to portrait. It also offers more height extension (about 6.5 inches) than most 17-inch LCDs; a vertical extension lock prevents the stand from stretching when you lift the screen.
The svelte design features a thin bezel (measuring about three-quarters of an inch on each edge of the panel) with only three small buttons for making adjustments (but they are easy to use). It also includes a USB 2.0 hub with four downstream ports: two tucked below and behind the screen and two within easy reach on the side bezel for peripherals you frequently remove, such as USB thumb drives. At the time of our review, the 1703FP sold for $529 without speakers. An optional set of 7-watt stereo speakers ($39) that attach to the bottom bezel provides more powerful sound than we hear on most speaker-equipped LCDs.
Upshot: When it comes to bang for the buck, it's tough to beat the UltraSharp 1703FP's winning combination of features and performance.

Strengths: Paid $475.00 for this panel. Excellent views. No ghosting and good gaming respones for a 25ms. You can swivel, tilt, and adjust height with ease. USB 2.0. 6 months of use and no issues.
Weaknesses: No bundled software for landscape/portiat layout but my graphics card has one.
Overall: Definitely the best bang for the buck. Will recommend to anyone looking for a 17 flat panel. Want more real estate, get big brother 19 inch.

Strengths: Picture quality, built in USB 2.0, fully adjustable.
Weaknesses: NONE
Overall: This monitor is simply more than I could have imagined I would get for the price I paid. I have only had 1 minor problem with the monitor and it ended up being related to my video card. Bought a new video card, and the monitor was like new again. Very pleased with my purchase - would recommend to anyone shopping for a flat panel.

Strengths: Awesome picture quality. The color is amazing.
Weaknesses: None.
Overall: This monitor is great. It has built in USB ports which are nice. You can position the monitor anyway you can think of even vertical (portrait).

Strengths: Screen tilt and position is easily handled. Weight is a lot less than regular monitors. 3 buttons to adjust setting of monitor are easy to use. 4 USB ports and quality color.
Weaknesses: None
Overall: Great monitor that I highly reccomend. Quality color and ease of adjusting colors to suit your taste. Positioning of screen is easy and can be moved for maximum adjustment. 4 USB ports that come in very handy. Monitor is lightweight.

Overall: I love this monitor. It was such an excellent choice, I couldn't find better if I tried. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this monitor. I definitely would recommend this monior, oh yes.
