Strengths: -Fast, 640x480 30fps in lit area.-Small, roughly the size of credit card, thickness of about a 3 cm.-LAN interface-a fair price for a good quality camera.

Weaknesses: -Less than 4fps in very low light such as in a room with one night light.-Camera may be buggy when used with other software.

Overall: Video Quality-------------This camera can go 30fps in a well lit room, such as a classroom. Colors are nice. In a dark room like a room with a night light, backlight is activated. FPS drops to about 5fps and picture capture is blurred when in motion. This camera does not work well in the dark. It does not have IR capabilities.Software--------Basic software is just Internet Explorer with a few basic camera commands contained in the Driver CD. It does not come with a 3rd party software (mine doesn't). The driver CD contains extra software to allow for quad view and other views. Nothing else is included. For a good software, you must buy a software like "Active Webcam" to allow for recording of multiple cameras, motion detection, etc..., though, the camera itself has these basic functions too, but not as good as a third party.Bugs, Problems--------------Sometimes the camera would stop working when being accessed by certain 3rd party software. The camera is stable when working by itself and being accessed with only Internet Explorer. The connection between the CAT5 and the socket is loose. A lot of times, the camera would not connect to the network unless you jiggle the jack. Once it is connected, do not touch the jack or the line or else it will disconnect from the network again.Overall-------The good picture quality outweighs the bugs. As long as you get it connected and not touch the cables again, you will be fine.
