User Reviews for Gyration ULTRA GT 30 MOUSE & FULL-SIZED USB SUITE GYROTOOLS RECHARGEABLE

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: - Excellent wireless range- Can use mouse in the air like a pointer- Highly customizeable

Weaknesses: - Mouse takes some getting used to- Scroll wheel on mouse a little too stiff- Really have to push down on the scroll wheel button

Overall Evaluation: I just purchased this mouse/keyboard combo a few days ago for my new HTPC setup and I'm loving it. The range on the mouse and keyboard says 30ft and I'm able to use them comfortably from my couch 15ft away from the receiver with excellent responsiveness. The mouse is thinner than normal mice and takes a bit getting used to but the trade-off is worth it because it's width is so it can be used in the air as a pointer. The software customization is also great as you can use it to assign swipes to certain functions. Sure, you may look like your sword fighting with a mouse but it is useful. Overall, this is a great product for a HTPC setup.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Wireless feature eliminates hassels of short or tangled cords.

Weaknesses: Mouse battery gets low if left off charger. Mouse tends to become "skippy" if battery is low.

Overall Evaluation: I like the wireless keyboard alot. It can be placed on my desk anywhere and the absense of a cord gives me freedom to put on my lap or even on a different table from my computer. The mouse is overall good, especially since no cord means no hassles of where to use my mouse. Also, the need for a mouse pad is eliminated. Using it in midair is hard, but probably just something one has to get used to and comfortable with.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: great wireless range. Innovative "swipes" shortcut activation and in air operation.

Weaknesses: Not the best optical mouse. Keyboard riser legs quite flimsy and pops out when hit against hard objects.

Overall Evaluation: This is the best multimedia keyboard suite I have ever used. The wireless range is simply amazing. The main reason why I brought this is to watch divx and other movies on my television, which is in my living room. I ran a 25 ft S-Video/Audio cable that leads from my computer in my room to the living room (It's a clean setup, thru my sub ceiling). With this keyboard suite, I can control my computer from my living room. Before, I would have to start the divx movie in my room and run back and forth between bathroom/kitchen breaks. I admit, this is another way to let me be lazier than I already am. But I did find a bonus. I save myself from having to buy the Sound Blaster Wireless Music because this pretty much gives me the same function.
