    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Quiet, Fast, No problem burning CDs

    Weaknesses: Very picky to DVD media.

    Overall Evaluation: I'm not sure if it's just me got a lame, but it's very picky to DVD media. My DVD-Burner on my IBM ThinkPad works fine with almost any DVD media. But this one just doesn't liked some media I gave to it, including 8x Memorex DVD-R. I have tried it in a Desktop PC as well as in a USB enclosure connected to my ThinkPad, to prove that it's not system or software related. I have updated it to the latest firmware I can find from their site. None of these helped.

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Read and burn cds and dvd fast. firmware up date often.

    Weaknesses: none

    Overall Evaluation: It is easy to install. Burn more than 20 dvds and no coasters by using nero. Lite-on updates firmware very often. It is good b/c it can support more dvds and increase stability.
