Nikon CoolPix 3200 Digital Camera

User Reviews for Nikon CoolPix 3200 Digital Camera

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Compact size is convenient

    Weaknesses: Poor picture quality

Overall Evaluation: I have owned this camera for one year and the performance has been awful. I get better pictures with a $10 35mm camera I bought to keep on my boat in case it got wet. I first experienced problems when I tried to download pictures onto my computer. The camera would not download. I called Nikon and they told me to buy a card reader. Not much help there. I bought the card reader and was able to download. Unfortunatly the pictures were grainy and dull. I recently used the camera to take pictures on a vacation and the results were terrible. Don't buy this camera. I will never buy another Nikon product after this rip off.

Weaknesses: Very little battery life, Breaks down all the time, Zero customer service

Overall Evaluation: Nice cute camera, but everone I know thats had one, only had problems. There is terrible customer service, which makes their gurantee worth almost nothing.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: clear, vivid sharp pictures, beautiful close ups with macro, excellent camera in all! THE ONE U WANT!

Weaknesses: LCD gets a bit dim in sunlight but no biggy, and write is is sorta slow bout 3-5 secs.

Overall Evaluation: EXCELLENT CAMERA! u get what u want in a compact design! GREAT PHOTOS, excellent quality, i have to say it is one of the best, everything about it is great, i love the 15 scene modes and the uploading also the superb picture quailty, they look like they were taken with a pro, better than that crap sony which gives u washed out colors(not ur choice), this one gives u stndard or vivid colors (ur choice), just choose a setting. Shutter is speed is great, playback is quick and i love the way u can crop and zoom in on already taken photos on the cam. I RECOMEND THIS 2 EVERYONE!!!

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Good battery life, scene assist modes are great for quick shots, good manual features, takes beautiful macro.

Weaknesses: Sometimes the flash takes a little long to recharge.

Overall Evaluation: This is a great camera, I bought it because of the 15 scene modes, the fact that it is a Nikon, and its high ratings everywhere. People complain a lot about the battery life, but I get a long time off of some 1960 maH nimh batteries, even when I am using the flash. Sd cards are cheap I got a 256 MB sd card for 25$ and it holds around 170 highest resolution pictures. Great outdoor photos, really good indoor, and the macro is truly stunning. No wonder more pro photographers use Nikon than all the other brands combined!
