Strengths: Automatic feeding of paper without jamming

Overall: I purchased this scanner to perform daily feeding of paper that need to be scanned. We work in a sales office and are in the process of converting thousands of sheets of paper into a digital format (PDF). The Microtek 5950 performs this function well. Just put in regular paper and pre-configure the buttons on the front to scan and save the paper where you want and in what format you want and it does the rest. It works as advertised and I couldn't be happier. The scanner was setup and installed in less than 20 minutes. Within the first 30 minutes I was performing my first scan. Doesn't get much better than that. A++++ product!

Overall: this thing is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought.the 7 extra buttens are more or less useless.i bought this thing to save time.i still have to do things manually.waste of money.

Overall: The scanner gave all of the scans a deep aqua/green cast which, according to tech. support, was caused by a driver download problem - the driver can only be loaded in Safe Mode. But this did not correct the problem and the unit was replaced. The replacement had a loud grinding noise in the automatic feed and has been returned for a refund. Stay away from this product.
