  Strengths: Easy, straight-forward installation. Works on CRTs and LCDs.

  Weaknesses: Could be somewhat smaller.

  Overall: Offers a clear calibration for color monitors - much easier and more accurate than the "color strip" type of calibrations.Setup was fast, and once setup, unit switches from monitor to monitor quite easily.

  Strengths: Ease of use. Price. Quality. Results.

  Weaknesses: None.

  Overall: After editing many photos and images and consistantly having the output not matching what I was editing I tried to visually make corrections to my display without much luck. I went searching for a solution anbd then read a review in PC Mag that reccomended colorplus so I picked it up. I found it took away the Blue hue that my monitor had and created truer fleshtones as well as much more detail in the shadows allowing me to create much sharper images. If you care about your output and edit your images I highly reccomend this product.

  Strengths: Ease of installation & use

  Weaknesses: Did not give me best results for color, particularly reds

  Overall: My monitor is a 17"CRT which is about three years old. Before buying the ColorPlus, I calibrated my monitor using a simple system acquired from Digital Doc who writes for eDigital Photo magazine. It worked quite well, but even he suggests that the Colorvision calibration systems are the best way to go, so I bought the ColorPlusAfter installing the ColorPlus unit which was simple, I found that the unit gave me photos which leaned towards the red. That was okay when the photo had a lot of red such as flowers, but was not satisfactory for me when printing photos of people, which I do a lot of. Also, the ColorPlus unit has me dimming the brightness of my monitor, which I find annoying. I find that the Digital Doc's simple calibration system works best for me, overall.I wonder if the monitor I now have which is an older unit, is causing these problems, though I don't believe they should. When i get some time, I will try to contact the ColorVision techs to see if they have any suggestions.
