ViewSonic VP171 Black/silver 17 Review

Brilliant-looking color and even brightness across the screen earn this model top image-quality scores.

The ViewSonic VP171s displayed vividly beautiful color on our test photo of fruit. That same quality came across as overkill on our photo of people, however, as skin tones appeared unnaturally ruddy. Nevertheless, the VP171s's other good scores earned it an Outstanding overall rating for graphics. The monitor's even brightness, which was obvious on our white test screen, contributed to an Outstanding rating for text, as well. The VP171s also offers lots of adjustments for a 17-inch model, including height alteration, swiveling, tilting, and pivoting. Pivot software is included.
