Strengths: Sharp, clear picture; excellent color; easy set-up; WOW!!!

Weaknesses: None noted, this is a great TV!

Overall Evaluation: I've been working on this purchase for many months. I first found this Panasonic model by doing many side-by-side comparisons, in stores, of the plasma TV's that were on display. The comparisons were usually between the Panasonic, Pioneers (yes, the Elite), Sonys and others. I wasn't looking for a particular brand or price, I was looking for the TV that had the best picture (I know this is a subjective standard, not very technical, but to be honest, this should be pretty high on your priority list if you're looking to buy one of these!). I know that the Panasonic is well-regarded for the contrast ratio, as is the Pioneer Elite, but I was simply looking for the best picture (color, sharpness, natural look, etc). In my opinion, the Panasonic ALWAYS won this contest! The color is unbelievable in the stores, and it looks even better at home! I have absolutely no regrets and would purchase this set over any other set, even if they were all priced the same. The features that I especially like about this set (in addition to the picture quality): it has a HDMI slot; it has a slot for digital camera memory cards; picture-in-picture; many connect points (front & rear) for hooking up other input sources; lighted remote; built-in tuners (no external box to hook up); built-in speakers with great sound; a stand is included with the set; and the overall look and feel of quality of this set. This TV is ready to go out of the box, put it on the stand (get some help, this baby tips the scales at 125 lbs!), plug it in, connect an antenna, and you're ready to go with a great picture and great sound. What more do you need??? If you're considering purchasing one of these, you won't regret this Panasonic. Go to the stores, approach the plasma TV display area and look at the sets (preferably before you can see the brand names) and figure out which one has the best picture. Move in closer and I'll bet you'll discover that you're looking at the Panasonic!

Strengths: Bang for the buck! Crisp picture, ease of set-up.

Weaknesses: The picture could be brighter and I feel the remote should better handle other panasonic products. It doesn't understand my Panasonic DVD player handles 5 disks.

Overall Evaluation: I researched plasma screens for a couple of months looking primarily at Pioneer and Sony, until I was able to see one of these in a showroom. The specs on the plasmas I reviewed seemed very comprable except one...the price. At several thousand less, this one became a winner. I continue to be amazed at the quality of picture. I recently purchased a DVD the upscales the picture to 1080i (must use the HDMI connection). Those Pixar films are now eye popping!
