  Strengths: Great picture! Very good sound.

  Weaknesses: Lamp might need replacement at some point

  Overall: I've owned this TV for 3 years now and I am extremelly happy with it. I had to replace the lamp (by myself) last month but I got it off eBay for $115 which is pretty reasonable.

  Weaknesses: $200 lamp is guaranteed for only 90 days

  Overall: I was all set to watch the bowl games when my LG DLP HDTV refused to turn on. I called LG Electronics and was told the lamp would have to be replaced, and that they would not pay for it. Lucky for me I purchased a service contract for $400. The problem now is that it took a week for Best Buy to find someone to fix it (a guy who has never seen a DLP TV). The lamp has to be special ordered and I have no idea when I will be able to watch TV again. Had I known the complications of getting this TV repaired and read the fine print on LG's lack of faith in the durability of their lamp, I would NEVER have purchased this product.
