Microsoft Money Deluxe 2005

  Strengths: Primarily a web-based look and feel

  Weaknesses: Requires a little learning curve from previous versions

  Overall: Microsoft Money 2005 Deluxe is more or less totally revamped from it's predecessor. The look and feel is more web-based now and there are minor enhancements and new features included.

  Strengths: Great for detailing expenses, accurate info on personal expenses, itemizing bills, several tools not explored yet

  Weaknesses: Does not make budget for you or advise how to set up a budget

  Overall: No instruction book so I am left to point and click to receive tutorials. Very easy to use the program although I had some difficulty downloading bank statement to program. I need to spend more time and learn about the program to utilize all of it's capabilities.

  Strengths: Some earlier bugs resolved.

  Weaknesses: Slower than earlier versions. Menus, toolbars, etc. take too much space.

  Overall: Upgraded from 2001 - saw major changes in investment reporting. Happy that some bugs are removed.Do not upgrade if you have a stable previous version of Money. I am disappointed at not being able to download frequent flyer balances.

  Strengths: Great Program all around.

  Weaknesses: None that I have found thus far.

  Overall: Money 2005 Deluxe is a great product for keeping track of home expenditures, checking & savings, credit cards, loans, stocks etc. Great product highly recommend. Have tried several other products by other manufacturers and this is by far the best and easiest to use.

  Strengths: Easy to install and has well more content then I need but it is there if needed.

  Weaknesses: They would like you to purchase their other products. I only need this particular product.

  Overall: Seems to be as good as Quicken and the price was very favorable after the rebate. My main use is for my stock transactions throughout the year and my last version imported into Turbo Tax without any problems. My rebate has not yet been registered on their web site and it has been almost one month so I am a little nervous that I may have to do a follow-up.
