Canon Pixma iP1500 Review

- There's no output tray on Canon's Pixma iP1500--the printer kicks your pages straight out onto the desk. But if you're on a tight budget, this no-frills printer could be for you: $50 fetches respectable quality and acceptable print speeds in a neat little package.

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: It sometimes works

Weaknesses: It almost never finds the paper

Overall Evaluation: I hate this printer!!!I have never found a printer worse than this!!!! Spens a couple of bucks and get a good printer. This one will disappoint. BELIEVE me you will hate this printer.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: pretty good quality pictures, small, pretty compact, easy setup and configuration, prints fairly fast when on standard mode, great price, good variety of settings you can customize to fit your needs

Weaknesses: no receiver tray, a little loud (can be improved a bit by setting to quiet mode), quality isn't great on standard mode when printing finer/smaller text or graphics, very slow on better quality

Overall Evaluation: The lack of receiving tray is inconvenient for me because I have very limited space and the printer usually has to print off of an edge, I have to wait with my hand under it. I usually miss and it flies all over the place. Not very fun. It tends to suck up ink fast but, if you can figure out how to use and ink injection kit, it's a good way to keep the price way down and I don't think it makes a difference in quality or anything. It's just a little messy when your doing it! And, yes, it is possible to use injection to refill the multicolor cartridges. It may seem obvious to most, but some people just don't believe me when I tell them that.
