Strengths: None that I could find

Overall: SLOW on Pentium 4 at 2.8 gigaherta and 1 gig ram. Lost file attachments. Would not do reports. Would not call up new documents attached to files. No support worthy of the name. They offered upgrade (read patch) of 55 MEGABITES! Heard terrible things about it, so we didn't use it. Uninstalled and went back to version 2000. Never again will I buy one of their products. Clearly, they launched a product they had to know was badly flawed. Must have wanted quick cash and cared not a whit what they were doing to customers. There ought to be laws that would provide criminal punishment for this kind of stuff.

Overall: I have been an Act user for over a decade, since I had a 286 processor to put it into perspective. I am now looking for a new product for my business. Customer service gave me the run around BIG MISTAKE. Every 2005 purchaser should be given I repeat GIVEN the new version for free at the very least. SAGE may have to pay me to even consider that option at this point. BEWARE. Oh by the way I'm getting the run around on the product repeat user rebate. Hows that for insult to injury!

Strengths: Grouping Contacts under Comapny Banners,

Weaknesses: SLOW !, More holes then swiss cheese, No scroll through functions at Company Level,Dropped Lotus Notes support

Overall: Support here now knows us by voice.We deal at company level then the users, with the new Comanies lookup , it makes it useless if wanting to scoll through companies and not contacts.Also been an ACT user sinceV2 and this is a rushed, non tested piece of rubbish, I have used BETA software that is more stable.We went and stayed with ACT due to its support of LOTUS NOTES, now none !NOT HAPPY !

Strengths: I can transfer all of my old Act data over... if that is a stength. Very customizable

Weaknesses: Slow. Takes too long to access your data. Very buggy. The upgrade release that they delivered crashed the program. Tough to get service on a new product unless you pay them more $

Overall: I am very disappointed with this release. I have been a loyal Act user since the DOS version of 1.0. This is by far the worst release they have come out with. IT IS SO SLOW!!! Very frustrating when you just want to reference a phone number. I waited on hold for over an hour to get help with a new update that they released. I would not recommend that anyone buy this release until you have tried the eval version and are ok with the speed of this software. Maybe you could upgrade to a quad zeon processor.

Weaknesses: Very Unstable.

Overall: Purchased the pre sales version back in August 2004. Was unuseable. Just upgraded to newer version. CRASHED my computer!! Hands down the most unstable piece of software I have ever seen. Stay away form Act 2005!
