Strengths: reasonable protection

Weaknesses: customer support, the rebate system, and compatibility with dial-up systems

Overall: I would love to know if anybody has ever received the rebates promised with McAFee software. It is becoming a game they are playing with me in that they promise to pay what they were supposed to, then they'll send a smaller check on the back of which it states that endorsing the check leaves McAFee free and clear of any and all obligations. They only responded once I contacted the better business bureau and are still playing games. Would love to know whether there has ever been a complete rebate check issued to anybody in an honest and timely manner.

Strengths: Easy to set up; automatic updates

Overall: I bought this software package only about six weeks ago. The setup is easy. And the program gives me some warranty against today?s menace from the Internet. With its automatic updates, it seems quite user-friendly.

Strengths: It works similar as my Norton Internet Security 2003

Weaknesses: Interface is not friendly(installation and normal usage).Privacy Service affect my surfing online

Overall: I used Norton Internet Security 2003 before this software. Now it works almost same as Norton, sometimes popup some warning messages, download updating information automatically, etc. One interesting thing: the norton is uninstalled at the very beginning by the command from this installation, but norton also keeps automatically updating. The other annoying problem, my husband disable the Privacy Service because he dislikes to enter passward whenever turn on the computer, then we have to verify the McAfee useage instead, it will spend more than 1 minutes.

Strengths: Good anti-virus, seems to catch more than the other leading software, I like the firewall features.

Weaknesses: Sends some valid emails to spam folder, hard to disable those features that you don't want permanently (reappear when computer restarts).

Overall: Overall a great product for the price after rebates. I like having an easy to operate all-in-one software for all of my security needs because I'm not a techie. McAfee Internet Security Suite is easy to install and operate, and only causes problems for more complex tasks like disabling certain features or trying to unlock the pop-up blocker on sites where I want them to pop up (ie coupon-downloading sites). I did not have any problems with freezing or slowing down of my system after installation. B+

Weaknesses: quite complicated, takes up lots of space, sometimes sluggish

Overall: have recently purchased McAfee internet security suite and was quite pleased with the product, it has great protection from hackers and automatically kills off any trojans, the firewall plus as it is known is very comprehensive with different security levels of protection, it also has anti spam, anti virus with free updates of which I have to download (although there is a link on the page).The product needs to be registered to get the most from this package, its not as simple to use as other internet security programs, its quite complex and can easily get lost if not carefull!!One other bit of negativity is that it takes up quite a lot of room on my harddisc, mines not very big anyways but it certainly does its job and overall im quite chuffed.
