Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Beautiful Picture, DVI, Slender design,Auto-Pivot, Great Warranty, Mounting Bracket

Weaknesses: The power switch is heat/touch sensitive. You have to learn to not accidentally touch it when you are rotating the screen.

Overall Evaluation: The L1980U monitor lives up to its premium price. The panel is the slimmest in its class. It has an eye-catching design. The default picture settings are fantastic, but you can tweak to your hearts content using the included software. The monitor includes the ability to rotate from landscape to portrait view with automatic picture adjustment. A nice bonus was the bracket provided for mounting the monitor on a wall. The 3 year parts and labor warranty is great.

Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Contents well packaged. Ease of set-up and configuration. Clean thin design.

Weaknesses: on/off button easy to accidently turn off.

Overall Evaluation: Very pleased with the monitor. Bought 2 of these monitors and had them set-up and configured in minutes. Color is crisp. Good contrast. LG gives you both analog and digital video cable. They also give you hardware to mount the monitor on wall. Overall, a great product with a good pricepoint.
