    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: nice shape; not heavy, nice looking, nice pics

Weaknesses: batteries- they didn't work a long time; long time beetwen next shots

Overall Evaluation: 2 years ago I got this camera as a gift. I really liked it, because it was small and looked good in silver colour. more, I took pics and usually I really liked them. sometimes I took really nice pics.unfortunatelly, the camera stopped to work well. I got problems with batteries and this year lens brokien. I don't know why. I left this camera and now I'm going to buy something better. I'm thinking between Canons digital cameras or Fuji FinePix S6000 FD. I saw different positive reviews and videos about this camera and I liked it. more, it has a really nice features. so maybe I will choose this one...

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Batteries last okay. Fits in your pocket, Shoots Quick Time movies in a pinch.

Weaknesses: Blury Pics, Flash recovery takes 10 secs, front lens cover doesn't close all the way,Doesn't focus in low light, You just have to guess and shoot no matter what setting you're on.

Overall Evaluation: I wish I had purchased a Canon. I have always loved the quality my Nikon 35mm camera produced. So, naturally I trusted that their 5600 Coolpix would have the same quality or close to it. NOT!!! I spent around $300 after buying the Flash Card, Batteries and Charger only to find out I bought JUNK. My friend bought an $89 Kodak Digital Camera and I tried it for a day and I got better results from it and cried over the money I threw away on my Nikon 5600.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Size, AA battery ease of replacement, SD

Weaknesses: Indoor shoot times are horrible.

Overall Evaluation: I bought this camera just before my son was born and once he started moving around on his own we missed tons of great shots as this camera takes forever to focus and pop the flash and then takes another good five seconds to recharge the flash. By then my son is on to something else and we missed the shot. I cannot emphasize enough how slow this camera is indoors. Outdoors is much better, but not blazing by any means.

Strengths: Small, AA battery use, Great outdoor pics

Weaknesses: Flash recharge time is close to 10 sec, Terrible! You can update the firmware for nikon cameras, but as of yet there is no update for this camera.

Overall Evaluation: I would not buy this camera. The flash issue is to big a problem and I have tried digital rechargables batteries.... no good. Tried indoor photo's with no flash, adjusting the ISO/ASA, blurry. Even when I eposure compensate. Nikon dropped the ball. I am really hoping a firmware updat will address these issues. Very unhappy.

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Small

    Weaknesses: Too many blurry pictures

Overall Evaluation: I am very, very unhappy with this camera. It takes too long to re-charge, 2-3 seconds. I took pictures of the family at the holidays, The children's pictures came out as little blurs on the screen. Even the adults were blurry. I purchased it only last August and I am so unhappy that I am already looking for a replacement. I am much happier with the pictures I took with my 35 mm.
