Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT Review

- It's fair to say that the Canon EOS Digital Rebel launched the now burgeoning field of digital single-lens-reflex cameras--mostly due to its breakthough price of under $1000. But since its release a year-and-a-half or so ago, the Digital Rebel has started to seem a little dowdy next to the latest SLRs from Nikon, Olympus, Pentax and Minolta. With the new Digital Rebel XT, Canon lost an opportunity to make it more professional-looking than its predecessor, but it did add the necessary internal improvements to put the Rebel XT among the top consumer SLRs.

Strengths: Camera function set at âDefaultâ settings. Color reproduction â Superb Contrast â Superb Sharpness â Superb. Resolution â Superb. Overal Performance - Outstanding! Bang For Buck is also Outstanding.

Weaknesses: May be a little too small for people with large hands.

Overall Evaluation: First, this camera is designed to take all of the guessing out of youâre photography. The image processor makes all of the decisions to get perfect exposure so you donât have to think about it. OR you can set it up any way you want it in MANUAL MODE. WOW, For the price, you will not find a better digital camera. If you are already a canon owner, you will find that all of you're Eos lenses work beautifully. In the studio, youâre able, thanks to the software provided, to hook directly up to youâre lap top and see youâre photos in real time. I love that. This camera shoots RAW format as well as JPG simultaneously! You can set up your own pre-defined styles adjusting contrast, sharpness, color saturation etc.. This camera even has a BLACK AND WHITE SETTING!! For true black and white, not just grey scale photography complete with color filter settings! You really owe it to youâre self to check this camera out BEFORE you buy.
