  Strengths: Good a land line sound as long as you are not uploading anything

  Weaknesses: Outbound voice sounds like crap if you are uploading very much from your pc/networkCust support via email is very bad

  Overall: The product is not bad, but the support is very bad. Half the time they did not ever respond to my emails. If you don't mind waiting on hold you can call the 1800 #.

  Strengths: Ease of setup, Cost per month. Low cost calls to Australia, New Zealand, Europe. .03 cents a minute!!!

  Weaknesses: Relying on Comcast! They're often down in our area. Comcast hi-speed (so called) traffic is also heavy sometimes, compromising voice qlty.

  Overall: If you have reliable hi-speed access this is the one! Any VOIP relies on the broadband provider being good and consistant. Support has always been timely - but you really don't need them anyway - only briefly in setup. Website is as comprohensive as you need - most FAQs are all there in black and white. $20 a month for unlimited longdistance in Nth America - you can't go wrong! glenn

  Overall: Optional Voicemail has ability to e-mail you the voicemail in a *.au format. You can save messages on your computer or forward them on to others. It has every option standard that you normally pay extra for. Check out their website for full details: http://www.packet8.net. After logging in, you can view every call made online.Since VoIP only requires a high speed internet connection, you could unhook the adater and take it anywhere you went and make/receive calls as if you were at home. I would imagine it would work in other countries. Image being in Guatamala and making calls to your hometown in the U.S... better yet, receiving calls!!Its reliability is only as good as your high-speed internet connection. If you are constantly having connectivity issues, your phone will suffer too. If there is a power outage, you better have a cellular phone for any emergencies.I am very happy with the quality of the service. There doesn't seem to be any delays in the conversations and when I call it, it rings just as fast as my LAN line. Right now the adapter is free. It would be hard to justify paying $60 for it and the service itself.
