WHAT'S HOT: The Iomega 16x10x40 Internal CD-RW drive's speed is highly competitive, taking just 5 minutes, 33 seconds to burn our 650MB image file to CD-R, and 4 seconds more to burn a folder with 650MB of files to CD-R on the fly.
The drive also excels at digital audio extraction, tying with the Plextor PlexWriter 16/10/40A at 1 minute, 58 seconds to extract 320MB of music from a CD. Iomega uses Sanyo's Burn-Proof buffer underrun protection technology to minimize ruined discs.
WHAT'S NOT: At $175 on the street, Iomega's drive is well above the average price for similarly speed-rated drives.
WHAT ELSE: Iomega provides a one-year warranty, plus toll-free support for 12 hours weekdays and 7 hours Saturdays. The drive ships with Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4.03 and Adaptec DirectCD 3.03, as well as MusicMatch Jukebox, and Adobe ActiveShare.

Strengths: Fast Drive When I ran it under win 98se
Weaknesses: Upgraded to Win XP 3 weeks ago and still not able to use all the fuctions of the drive because of driver problems.
Overall: upgraded Easy cd creator to V5.0 platinum and the drive does not seem to run as well now. I tried the Roxio update for Win XP and still no luck. Iomega says its not a driver problem but a software issue
