  Strengths: long battery life, intuitive use for the most part, great sound and video quality, stylish design

  Weaknesses: a little on the heavy side, detachable subpack part, why?

  Overall: As I am not a techno wiz, probably would have just bought an ipod except I wanted an FM tuner. So, I did the research and read the reviews. Even though CNET gives X5 a soso review, user reviews were very enthusiastic, so I took the plunge. I love my x5L. It's easy to use (with minor quirks mostly due to operator error) and it seems like Cowan will come up with firmware to address the issues of those few and minor things it can't do right now.

  Weaknesses: Proprietary dongle (major issue); Manual is printed in micro font & wherein ?Hold lever? means depress button; Low mic sensitivity (major issue).

  Overall: As the IPOD cases are prone to breakage and the accessories are rather expensive, I decided to give this player a try after reading some reviews and comparisons.Like other Korean electronics, it?s a Swiss Army knife design. Although as a result, its? use requires a bit more of a learning curve and sub menu navigation.It?s more similar to the Archos players than an IPODHowever, I wished the I-Audio had a video in port like the Archos player I once had, since it was good for concealed camera and athletic camera work.The biggest complaint I have is the proprietary dongle that you must use for charging, line-in recording, and line-out playback. I would have preferred that these connectors were built-in.I plan to write I-Audio to secure a spare (if possible) before this product goes out of production.Overall it?s a great product that easily trumps the IPOD.

  Strengths: Does not require software to transfer music. Well built. Is not an iPod. Feature Rich. Excellent sound quality. Long battery Life.

  Weaknesses: Cumbersome controls. Requires adapter to plug in A/C Included headphones mediocre

  Overall: As good, if not better than other iPod alternatives. Ran continuously for over 20 hours with plenty of battery left. Has distinct advantage of showing up as a portable drive in Windows. Interface is not as quick as that on the Zen touch but unnecessary once you use playlists. FM reception is not very good because the lack of external antenna. Video is as good as can be expected for such a small screen. But then again, who wants to watch TV shows or movies on such a small screen. Included earbuds are Ok, but I would recommend a good pair of regular headphones. Sound quality was excellent, especially with studio quality headset. Survived accidental drop onto pavement(4ft) with only minor scratching. Styling very sleek, does not look like ladies accessory.

  Weaknesses: size, video needs conversion

  Overall: Probably the best current DAP. Video playback is a bonus, so don't compare the quality with PMP/PVP. It is a little bulkier than the x5. Sound quality is very good. Battery life is unblievable, really reaches 35 hours with normal use. However, if you can't deal with the 4mm more thickness, go with the x5

  Weaknesses: Can't play photo slide show with back ground music, can't play video with separate audio track at same time.

  Overall: Best MP3 player in my opinion. With FM Tuner, Recorder, Video/Photo Viewer, no wodner it's the best! Overall, great product. Woohoo Tthanks Price Grabber! Best Shop-N-COmpare website.
