User Reviews for Acer AL2416W

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Cheap

    Weaknesses: No Height adjustment

Overall Evaluation: Price of this monitor is very good compared to the other brands. The stand is not adjustable according to your viewing preferences. You need a good video card that supports 1920 X 1200 resolution and has a DVI output. The monitor includes the DVI cable which is good because you do not need to buy the cable separately. The response time is same as the other monitors on the market at higher prices and smaller screens. I recommend this monitor if you need a budget 24" monitor.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: cheap price, fast respond time, bright screen

    Weaknesses: So far no

Overall Evaluation: I had always wanted an LCD monitor for playing the cool games out there. The 24" Acer AL2416W does this quite nicely for the price. The large bright screen, which I run at 30% brightness, does a great job. Shadowed areas in games are easily definable. Fast action games show no lag or ghosting on this screen. Colors are vibrant and true, many high compliments about this screen. Non-Native resolutions actually look good when viewing text. Second thoughts. In general it goes well with my XPS!

Strengths: Large display 24" DVI-D and VGA input6 ms response time3 years warranty

    Weaknesses: No found yet

Overall Evaluation: The price is still a bit high. But, with all that features. I think is worth while. Especially, the 24" display, the DVI-D input and the 3 years warranty.

Strengths: - Bright and large display- Price is the best around for this size

Weaknesses: - Warranty isn't the best

Overall Evaluation: If your looking for a large LCD to play games or surf the internet then this is it. I recommend this to anybody who wants a lot of multimedia functionality. For the price and size you can not go wrong.

Strengths: Large ( as in HUGE) Display, Great Resolution, Great Response time.

Weaknesses: Almost too big. Not very customizable.

Overall Evaluation: I've had this monitor for about two weeks now and am still not used to the size of it. It's very bright, I had to take the brightness down to about 15% and it's definitely "no frills" when it comes to controls, but dollar for dollar you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal out there. I've played Quake 4 and Rise of Nations/Rise of Legends on it using a Radeon X700 and it performs like a champ with no ghosing whatsoever. I've read about lag with these size monitors but I didn't notice any lag with Q4...but then again, I'm not exactly a champion fragger so maybe they see something I don't. I do have to say that the sheer size of the display is almost too big for comfortable gaming if you're set up in a normal desktop environment. I noticed that I was actually moving my head slightly when playing Q4 and my eyes definitely get a work out with it, but I wouldn't trade it for any other monitor I've seen yet.
