Weaknesses: This DVD Recorder/Player can NOT copy ?Copy Protected? or ?Dual-Layer? DVDs. It can only copy home made DVD recordings from a DVD camcorder, or NOT copy protected DVDs. Most movies today ARE copy protected, as is stated on the back of their boxes. ?Pro
Overall Evaluation: This DVD Recorder/Player is unique with its 2 trays side-by-side, it?s thin, elegant, and stainless steel looking. It copies quickly, and has easy on-screen navigation using the remote control. I wouldn?t recommend buying this DVD recorder/player to record rented movies, for yourself, because almost all are ?Copy Protected? and will not copy using this recorder. I would recommend buying this DVD recorder/player to make copies of a digital camcorder recordings, or to have both a DVD recorder and a DVD player all in 1 slim unit, to have more shelf space.
