What You Should Know about the LT-32X776

Good Screen Size For the Bedroom

Typically, HDTVs with a diagonal screen size between 32 and 36 inches, such as this model has, are LCD televisions with a resolution of either 1366 by 768 or 1920 by 1080 (1080p). For most people, the optimum viewing distance for an HDTV screen of this size is about 5 to 6 feet. That makes such a screen a good fit for the bedroom, the den, or a small living area.

Strengths: picture thru HDMI cablefirewire inputpicture quality thru HDMI TheaterPRO settings

Weaknesses: Remote layoutLack of separate input controlsNeeds second component inputManual sucks *ss

Overall Evaluation: I finally got the go ahead from the "boss" to get a second HDTV this time for the bedroom. After much consideration (internet trolling) and eyeballing I decided on this TV. Top of my list was picture quality and to my eyes it beat out everything else I saw in this size and price range. Picture quality on HD stations is great and SD is good as long as the signal quality is good. HDMI signal seems to have resolving power and less noise than component on HD. I have just a few complaints which are irritating for me but not deal breakers: horrible manual bad remote design that hums when using backlighting no separate inputs control on remote lack of second component jacks.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Great picture, sound, fairly easy to use, a lot of menu options

    Weaknesses: Does not work

Overall Evaluation: I bought a new set from J&R Music in NYC, got the set home, it died after one week, has been in the shop for 3 weeks waiting for a part...I wouldn't put any money into this set if I were you.
