Duration of ownership: 8 Months
Strengths: Clean Prints Easy set-up
Weaknesses: Auto feed weak Broke down in 8 months
Overall Evaluation: Total failure with ghost carriage jam. When HP couldn't fix with resets, they refused to cover under warranty. I get to eat $500 for a so-so boat anchor. Next time I'll buy a Lexmark at half the price for twice the printer.

Strengths: Great speed, color, clarity. ADF works well. Exceeds expectations at all levels.
Weaknesses: BEWARE!! The ink level indicators will NOT work if you remove and then reinsert a cartridge. THAT CARTRIDGE WILL NEVER DISPLAY AN INK LEVEL AGAIN. Also. the 7410 is extremely sensative when reading colored pages through the ADF. It will pick up and record as straight lines minute particles of dust you cannot see with the naked eye. If you then test it with a black and white copy of the same thing it will come out perfect. DON'T COUNT ON THE HP SUPPORT. THEY WILL WASTE YOIUR TIME (HOURS), LEAD YOU IN THE WRONG DIRECTION, AND THEN MAKE A "PRETEND" APPOINTMENT TO CALL YOU BACK.
Overall Evaluation: The equipment is superior except for the ink level indicator system. It is fast, makes sharp, clear copies in both black and white and color, and is really easy to use. The ADF works surprisingly well. It needs a slot to enable you to easily feed a single envelope but otherwise the 7410 seems perfect.

Strengths: All features easy to use until carriage broke after 16 months usage.
Weaknesses: HP does not support this product with repair parts. Carriage broke after less than 1000 copies and could not be repaired or replaced.
Overall Evaluation: The HP 7410 is a piece of junk and mechanical failures are not supported by HP. Printer was for home use for 16 months and less than 1000 copies. When carriage malfunctioned, HP did not have a replacement part. Printer was useless and HP gave no satisfaction since i did not have an extended warranty. Do not purchase this product without the extended warranty.

Strengths: Very robust. Easy to setup wireless. Color is great.
Weaknesses: Paper trays seem small, could be larger.
Overall Evaluation: I am very satisfied and pleased with this quality product that I purchased. It is easy to setup and use. Several people use the OfficeJet 7410 with me; we use it everyday and depend on it. It has never let us down.

Strengths: It prints and photocopies "ok"
Weaknesses: Can't receive faxes; scanner is marginal at best; flash card ports don't work; software "sucks"
Overall Evaluation: Owned two years. Made 53 calls for tech support. Every time I tried to download pics from card slots, had to uninstall and reinstall software. Can send but not receive faxes. In 67 years, I've never had a worse consumer product or service. HP SIMPLY DOES NOT DELIVER IT'S PROMISE. I'LL NEVER OWN ANOTHER HP ANYTHING, PERIOD !!!!!!!!!!!

Strengths: Not very expensive to operate
Weaknesses: Feeder jams too frequently
Overall Evaluation: After having 3 HP all-in-ones I decided to try a fourth. There is virtually no difference in the quality of these machines. This one in particular, however, didn't make it the first year without some of the same traits found in the previous systems. The feeder jams and faxing documents has been nothing short of a chore on a consistant basis. If it's the occasional fax you need, this is a fine machine; any more than that- look elsewhere...

Strengths: I have found the HP7410 excellent
Weaknesses: I wish they made the room to fit the other cartridges in it also instead having to swap.
Overall Evaluation: I have owed alot of HP machines at least 2 printers and 7 multifunction machines and the 7410 is by far the best yet.I never seen any of my machines fax or print as fast as this one,I can not believe the features on the machine the color screen is crisp and clear.it has a very nice layout, and the keys are spread far enough apart where you don't hit other one's by mistake I have big hands (6'2" 375lbs)and I have no problems on it at all.I love the double stack paper feed (400 sheets) you don't have to keep refilling it all the time. The design is very nice again well laid out and a sharp looking machine does not look cheap like other machines I have seen. I think hearing people talking trash about it really don't know much about machines at all and they really don't know how to use a machine to it's fullest capibility.I don't need to use a machine for a month or two to see how it is,I can usually tell it about 10-15 minutes if it is a good machine.I have also owed canon's and epson's my first machine's before I had my HP'S and I will always stick to my HP'S. Again hp takes the cake even on styling and functions I always say it Hp machines never let me down and this 7410 just reassures me why I buy HP. I am so Glad that I got the 7410 it again is a HP(How Perfect). Joe D
What You Should Know about the OfficeJet 7410 All-In-One Inkjet Printer (30 PPM, 4800x1200 DPI, Color, 16MB, PC/Mac)
Duplex Printing a Must for Busy Offices
A printer with duplex capability contains an internal mechanism for turning the paper over to print on the other side. (This is not to be confused with the manual duplexing that some printers offer, where driver software walks you through the process of turning over the paper yourself.) Any high-volume office should seriously consider this feature. The duplexing process slows down your print job a bit, but it also immediately cuts your paper use in half -- good for your budget, good for the environment.
