  Strengths: small, bright, easy navigation, good price.

  Weaknesses: need a screen protector. more storage space would be nice. the software to convert video is slow.

  Overall: I order 2 of this for about $230, for which I get audio( also FM radio), video. The player's performance is solid and very easy to navigate. you touch the eadges of the screen to navigate, so your finger print will be left on it. I plan to buy a screen protector.

  Strengths: Absolutely the cutest mp3 player with video. It is so great to watch a quick video clip or catch a tv show and then throw it into your purse or pocket.

  Weaknesses: Definitely could use more storage space. You will want to put your whole movie collection on this. The 1GB is not enough.

  Overall: I easily loaded this player with 2 movies, 2 tv shows , and plenty of pictures. This was a great accomplishment, as I am not computer savvy. I surf the web and that's about it. I downloaded two programs from the Iriver website, and I was off and running. I also purchased the Iriver cradle kit and love it! It looks like a tiny old fashioned television sitting on my desk. My 5 yr old also loves it.If you are looking for a lot of storage space for holding movies, I would look elsewhere, but he cradle kit is the catch.

  Strengths: Great sound, plays loud and clean.Stores and displays jpgs and video.Unique user interface. Nice display, easy to see the song list even in bright sunlight at the beach.

  Weaknesses: Limited to 1 Gig of storage. Would absolutely be the perfect device if it accepted additional storage cards.

  Overall: I've owned a lot of mp3 players. Through the years I have lost more than I would care to admit by forgetting them on airplanes and in hotel rooms. I think the fact that they are relatively inexpensive and also the fact that I have never really been all that impressed by any of them I'm sure has had something to do with that. This is the first one that would really upset me a lot if it were lost or stolen. I'm actually thinking about using one of those recovery services for this one. The sound quality of this thing is better than any mp3 player I have ever heard, including the over-hyped Nike of mp3 players, ipod. I have heard things in songs that I've never heard on any other player. That alone is enough reason to keep me from looking any further for a flash based player.The user interface is truly unique, and takes some getting used to. Basically the face of the unit is "spring loaded." You press on the edges of the cover to switch songs, thumb through the playlist, or set the many options you have with it. And being able to dump images to it and watch short video clips is something I find myself using more often than I thought I would. The display while a little small of course, is very bright and pleasing to look at. It's like checking an image or clips of video on your digital camera. Given the fact that it costs about the same as other high end flash players (and way less than a video iplod) the video and pics are a nice bonus. I got my 1 Gig for right at $200. I'm happy.That brings me to its one and only drawback. There are no perfect devices I have seen so far, but this one is close. Why in the world they didn't include a slot for an xD or SD card in this thing is beyond me. Just an empty slot would have been fine with me. It would allow more room for video and pictures, and when I think of how cool it would be to be able to take my card out of my digital cam and pop it into this thing while on a dive boat, that alone would have made it worth the cost of adding an empty slot. Also the user interface as I said does take some getting used to. I work out a lot, and my flash mp3 player is a requirement. I need one that is loud and clean, and this one is it. The way the thing works is really nice. It is the first time I have ever used the lockout button for the controls of a player. When you slide the button to the lock position, it physically locks the spring loaded face plate. So I can take it in and out of my pocket without switching songs or who knows what while I'm on the treadmill. Really cool, these guys thought of (almost) everything.If it had an xD or SD slot and was actually a little larger in size making the screen a little larger, I would go from giving it a solid 9 to a perfect 10.

  Strengths: Size, LCD is amazing, ease of use, sound is perfect, tons of features (video, pictures, MP3's, Radio, Battery life, USB 2.0 charging even when the computer is off or you are using it!!!

  Weaknesses: None that I can find

  Overall: I have over 100 songs on this thing and I still have 655MB of space left so if you are worried about space don't be. The screen is very clear and it fits in your shirt pocket with ease. Very easy to use with Windows Media Player 10. No useless buttons - they are built into the screen!
