Strengths: Fast, not on hackers' 'radar'
Weaknesses: Misses some newer malware, expensive
Overall Evaluation: I use the full Platinum Internet Security Suite, and I've been happy for the most part for the entire time I've subscribed. At various workplaces, I've used Norton and McAfee, and found they used much more system resources than Panda. Normally, Panda scans my entire system faster than Symantec scans my work PC, even though my work PC has none of the extra software we tend to add to our home systems, it has more RAM, a faster processor, and less than 1/4 the storage. I sympathize with the people who gave pooor reviews, because I did have to learn how to set up Panda. Once I educated myself, I stopped having problems with software connections, for the most part. When Panda is running well, you hardly know it's there. When it breaks down, you usually have to uninstall and start over. And tech support? If you're not already savvy, I'd recommend starting with something easier to use, because I've only ever received one email back from Panda in the entire 3 years I've subscribed! My main reason for writing this review is to let people know this is a fairly good product, but I have chosen to leave it behind once my current subscription ends.

Strengths: Didn't identify any.
Weaknesses: Breaks windows update, breaks FTP, breaks power saver hibernate, verrrrrrry slow.
Overall Evaluation: I can't believe this product is touted for its speed. The initial scan of my machine took over 30 hours. McAfee, whtich this purchase replaced, finishes in less than 1 hour. What a waste of $45. I've uninstalled and will be going back to McAfee.

Strengths: It scans and updates quickly
Weaknesses: It fails to interface with the computer, and blocks alost everything, including the machine's own "system restore"! It is especially awful using Mozilla Firefox as a browser, and bad enough with IE
Overall Evaluation: My computer came with Panda installed, and has caused othing but bother in the 2 months I've been using it. Ths software is truly awful! It malfunctions most of the time, and blocks all sorts of things which it shuldn't. I have tried all sorts of remedies , but it makes no difference. I have included sites on the "allow" lists, but it still blocks them It blocks every download I try, and is particularly bad when using Mozilla Firefox. The select menu appears on the bottom right hand side of the screen, which should permit you to choose whether or not to allow a given site access to the computer, but it fails to respond, about 50% of the time using Internet Explore, and ALL the time using Firefox. I am then reduced to using "control, alt & delete" to stop the non-responsive programme. The final straw came today when it blocked a Firefox update I wanted to do, and despite using the "end unresponsive programme" control, it caused a glitch in Mozilla.so I had to go to "system restore" on the computer, (not online please note) and the dratted thng even tried to block that.So that was the last straw, and I have now uninstalled the entire Panda software. The machine is now runnng fine, and I am installing alternative antivirus software. My advice? Try ANYTHÝNG but this!

Strengths: Everything you will ever need in a secure total anti-virus program. Espiecally if you do a lot of on-line banking.
Weaknesses: There are none
Overall Evaluation: I used all of the above anti-virus programs as my company has used them all, until I recommened Panda then no more problems or meltdowns caused by the so-called top 5 P.C.worlds better than Panda, I think not!!!. My wifes company uses McAffe and it did not pick up the Anti-spyware in her e-mail inbox when she was working from our home like Panda did? So Put that in your pipe & smoke it..... Theres an old saying if it ain't broke don't try and screw with it.....
