Strengths: WASTE OF MONEY!
Weaknesses: THIS IS A PIECE OF JUNK!
Overall: BUYER BEWARE. THIS IS A PIECE OF JUNK. GOT THE 1ST ONE, WHICH DID NOT EVEN BOOT UP. RMA TO ASUS CAUSE SELLER WOULD NOT TAKE IT BACK (21 DAYS POLICY). AFTER ASUS REPAIRED AND SENT IT BACK (CLAIMING IT WAS REPAIRED), THERE WAS NO DISPLAY ON START UP. RMA 2ND TIME TO ASUS. IT'S ALMOST 2 MONTHS NOW, I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO BUILD MY COMPUTER. ASUS HAS SENT THE REPLACEMENT, IF IT DOES NOT WORK ASUS WILL LOSE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!BEST OF LUCK!

Strengths: Overclocks good in bios for Profile overclock. The AI Booster froze my desktop if i tried to oc from there. Woks great with my Pentium D 930 and Corsair XMS2 1GB PC2-5400 DDR2 mem sticks
Weaknesses: This is NOT the SE model that is supposed to be compatible with the Core 2 Duo cpu's. As far as I know this board does not support Conroe core cpu's.
Overall: This board is not the SE model and even that motherboard isnt a great oc'er. This board is not a great overclocker. If you want a great OC'er and conroe compatible mobo get the ASUS P5W-DH Deluxe motherboard.

Strengths: 2 true 16x PCI-E slots, onboard heatpipes, extra features
Weaknesses: none as of yet
Overall: This board would be great for over clocking, but I dont have the courage or knowledge to do so. What I like about the board is it has 2 true 16x PCI-E slots unlike other boards which only provide a (2) 8x PCI-E slots. If your going with an SLI setup this is the board to get.

Strengths: Expandability and overclocking capabilities
Weaknesses: None
Overall: Great mobo for the price. I love the fact that it is expandable to 16gb of ram, though I probably wouldn't use it. Using it with the Pentium 950 and can safely overclock it to 3.75ghz without spending the extra money on the extreme edition. Looking forward to benchmarking it under a full load.

Strengths: Nice feature set. Support of the latest technology.
Weaknesses: A few layout issues and at least one feature implementation issue.
Overall: I love Asus Motherboards and have been using them for many years. This product offers many unique features in the design and offers nice tools for overclockers. This latest product still makes me want to stick with Asus, but there are a few issues. This board is made for SLI video configurations. If you don't plan on using SLI, there is little reason to get this version. The location of the SATA ports 1 and 2 are in-line with the second PCIe slot and thus when using an SLI configuration the SATA cables plow into the video card. An easy way around this issue is to not use SATA ports 1 and 2, but instead use port 3 and 4. Thats fine as long as you don't use more than 2 SATA hard drives. Another issue is the Smart Q-Fan feature in the BIOS. It's a great idea to reduce noise in the system dramatically by slowing down the fan speed of the CPU fan and chassis fan when the system is cool. As the system heats up, the fan speed increases to cool it off. The issue is the CPU fan is configured to turn on when a certain temperature is reached. Then turns off as soon as the the temperature drops below the same threshold. So what happens is the fan continually speeds up then slows down around this one threshold. The noise of the fan speeding up and slowing down repeatedly is very irritating and I have been forced to just turn off the feature. They really need to implement two thresholds to prevent the oscillation that occurs around the one setpoint they have available. Other than that the product is great. I used this board for a gaming system and love the feature set.
