User Reviews for Acer Ferrari F-20

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: A beautiful look, Glossy screen with sharp text
Weaknesses: New F-20 monitors use 6-bit TN LCD panels with narrower view angles and not true color
Overall Evaluation: It seems that F-20 used to contain a MVA LCD panel with 176 degree view angles and true color (16.7 millions). I bought a new F-20 with MVA specificatioins(manufactured in January, 20008) from newegg in November, 2008. Surprisingly, this turned to be a TN panel. It seems that Acer has changed its panel type, but still describes it with MVA specifications. If you look for a MVA monitor, please be cautious.

Strengths: Sweet looking and works great. This is the Ferrari of LCL monitors.
Weaknesses:
Overall Evaluation: PC Connection is absolutely the best web-site. Not only are they low cost and have great service, the overnight DHL shipping is absolutely amazing. I love the color scheme of the monitor and it matches my Acer Ferrari laptop!

Strengths: Attractively designed unit, excellent c;ear crisp readability, excellent image accuracy, brightness 7 contrast, great color rendition, excellent response times.
Weaknesses: Some users may desire more adjustability for height and/or screen pivot capability. Warranty procedures ensure huge downtime for repair/repalcement... hopefully won't need it!
Overall Evaluation: For the user who wants the best in crisp readable text and terrific graphics rendition in a widescreen monitor the Ferrari is an excellent solution at a reasonable price. The crystalbright screen is dazzling, but if used in and environment with overhead lighting or bright lights from windows the glossy screen may not be as good as a dimmer one with some non-glare properties. I am 100% pleased with the unit, and besides it is so cool to see the looks you get when you tell them that your wife bought you a Ferrari for your birthday.

Strengths: Sexy Styling, excellent metal base, reasonable price, very good quality panel.
Weaknesses: Still blurs slightly in games, but its minimal. Not all software/games support 1680*1050 yet.
Overall Evaluation: This is a like getting a sports car for a Toyota price, and if you like the styling the panel itself is great. (zero dead pix) The size is just right, kinda like a 19" CRT in height but 50% wider.
