Strengths: Very easy to install and use. Intuitive interface.
Weaknesses: Can't seem to find a way to re-run the wizard that searches for new video input without reinstalling the software
Overall: This is a very good recording software. It is easy to set up and saw my TV input without any problems. You have to sign up for a snapstream account to get TV schedule downloaded but it is a one time thing. Just keep in mind that recording TV is processor intensive and if you don't have a high end processor you can't record TV and play computer games at the same time without having the video jitter.

I've used the trial version of SagetV and BeyondTV. BeyondTV had some pretty annoying bugs, like the TV listings would show duplicate entries for each channel, would fail to record my scheduled shows sometimes. SageTV worked just great, and IMO looks better than BeyondTV and is more intuitive
