Palm Treo 700p Review

- Palm Treo lovers rejoice: The new Treo 700p is here. The $650 (with a two-year contract from Sprint, as of 7/7/2006) unit features a largely improved design, a faster processor, more memory, and a speedy network connection. It's a pricey but worthwhile investment for people serious about on-the-go productivity.

    Duration of ownership: 5 Months

    Strengths: NONE

Weaknesses: The phone is the worst. Nothing about the is good. I have had it replaced now going on 7 timesin 5 months because everything about it has failed. It has caused me to loose so much time in my business.

Overall Evaluation: BEWARE... DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PHONE... I am warning you. Don't waste your money. I waited so I could get my emails, use the bluetooth function and have access to my contacts. Never has worked for more than a couple of weeks at a timer before it started crashing, not getting emails and the bluetooth function acting up. It has been a total disaster. I am telling everyone I come in contact with about how aweful the phone is. The only positive is the the Verizon wirless tech support has been great! This is truely BUYER BEWARE!!!

    Duration of ownership: 2 Months

Strengths: Fully feature packed and the ability to carry on device that is a camera, a small PC, a browser and a MP3 player.

Weaknesses: Do to a system quirk the Treo 700p will lock up and shut down daily between 4:00PM and 4:35PM CST. No one has been able to figure out why. (Tlked with Sprint and Palm)

Overall Evaluation: This is the best universal device on the market for the busy professional. I gives you all of the tool necessary to stay in touch, conduct business, record visual memories of necessary items or events and finally entertain yourself during down time with games and music. Excellant product once the shut quirk is fixed.
