  Overall: Previously owned another projector. Was afraid to try a different brand for movies but DELL has come through for us once again! Great product, makes viewing that much more enjoyable!

  Overall: We bought the projector for about 1100 after coupons. This projector does what it was designed to do - provide a bright, decent image at a great price. I wouldn't recommend this for a home theatre but it is sufficient for business applications.

  Overall: The Dell 2400MP has the brightness and image quality of much more expensive models. It offers more lumens per dollar, than any other projector I know of. The menu system is logical and user friendly and I am very happy with the carry case. After owning a number of projectors with non-protective carry cases, it was a very pleasant surprise to discover a well padded, attractive looking shoulder carry case included right in the box. This projector is just a bit bigger than the competition, but makes up for it in brightness. Personally, I'd recommend it as more of a computer/PowerPoint presentation projector than a model for home entertainment.

  Overall: I have been using this Dell 2400MP for a week now, can complaint about the image quality, excellent. S-Video could be a little blur, but VGA from my laptop or component from my DVD player really produces excellent image. Can not watch my 27" TV any more, my eyes just spoiled. Don't know about the speaker, simply not using it at all. The only thing a little annoying is the project lamp has a pre-set up-wards about +35 degree angle. Which is hard for me to place this projector. I placed it on a wall shelf, about 6.5 feet height above the couch(so that it won't hit my head when I stand up from the couch), then I have only one option: to raise the rear about +35 degree. It does have 3 extension legs for you to use, but those are just not long enough. I think the design is based on people will use it from a table/desk. but I can't put it on the table/coffee table and leave all the cables/wires there. I think it will work well if you hang it on the ceiling by flip it up side down. It does gets hot when in use, but since I am no where sit near to it, so no problem for me.Compare to the excellent video quality, these are something doesn't really matter.

  Overall: Purchased this projector primarily for powerpoint presentations for work. Travel is mostly done by vehicle so I wasn't too concerned about the weight and size of the unit (5.5 lbs). The projector comes with a very nice carrying case, a multitude of cables and a basic remote control (no laser pointer, manual focus). Unit is hooked up to a wide screen HP laptop via vga connection (aspect ratio can be changed to handle wide screen output). The image produced by the projector is bright and crisp. The lamp can be put in economy mode if you don't need the full output (this extends the lamp life). The on-screen menu is easy to manipulate and make adjustments. The unit does get hot. This is price you pay for the extra lumens. When you shut the unit down it goes through a cool-down cycle of a couple of minutes. The cooling fan is somewhat noisy but I personally don't find it annoying. I opted for a 3 year warranty with what Dell calls an Advanced Exchange program. They'll overnite you a replacement unit (may be a refurb) if your's fails (other than lamp failure). The lamp has a 90 day warranty and is pricey to replace at $399. The remote control is very basic. I like the the large button size for paging through presentations. The unit's menu can be accessed through the remote or using the buttons on top of the projector. Watch for Dell's SB smart values deals and you can get this unit with a screen, pocket presenter and extra lamp for a good discount. Overall a nice no frills projector with very good specs. I'm waiting to see how it holds up over time.
